Our Approach
The Etude™ Programme is very different from traditional core system solutions, specifically:
The application consists of many business objects which
are defined to one of three levels:
• Core – objects which are common to all banking
enterprises worldwide. Maintained centrally and continuously
enhanced and distributed to clients.
• Country – objects required only in a particular
country. These objects can be maintained on a separate
schedule from the core objects.
• Customer – objects specific to a single banking
institution.
The core of the application provides a consistent common set of components – supporting generic business and operational requirements. Consistent with Microsoft's development approach to Office, the Country & Customer elements operate in the same way as “plug-ins” – creating a replicable low cost paradigm.
The Etude™ application will deliver full kernel
functionality by mid 2007, including complete Customer
Information, Organisational Infrastructure, Product Building
and Contract Management Components. Deposits and General
Ledger modules will be introduced by the end of 2007,
followed by sophisticated Lending and Banking Services
components in early 2008 and by mid 2008 the FOREX module
will be available.
During the build cycle, participating banks prepare for
implementation and establish their in-house technical skills
around the .NET Framework.
